Rudyard Lake, North Staffordshire, April 2013

I visited one of my old haunts, Rudyard Lake in North Staffordshire. It was a bright, but cold afternoon with the last of the Easter snow still clinging to the tops of the hills. Rudyard lake is 2 miles long and is actually a feat of Victorian engineering, being a canal reservoir. A beautiful, restful place.
